Adam Completes Cycling Merit Badge with 50 Miler!

The last requirement for the cycling merit badge is to travel 50 miles in a single ride. Adam was unable to ride with his troop when they rode so he and I rode on our own during a family camping trip to Morro Bay California just before Labor Day. From the state campground just south of town we rode north on Highway 1 along the coast to Cambria and then back. For most of the ride the coast was covered in fog so the views were not what we hoped. We completed the trip in just over three hours which was less than half the time the troop took. Adam can really ride fast. 5 beavers for Adams legs!
