Allen IV Invited to Dana Hills H.S. Winter Formal

A few weeks ago a pizza appeared on our doorstep with a note on top. The note said: “Allen, this pizza is cheesy so make my life easy and go to Winter Formal with…” Inside the box was a pepperoni pizza with the pepperonis laid out to spell the name “Erin.” Allen responded to Erin Simmons by making a black and white painting of an abstract man yelling out “Yes!”

The big night arrived on February 9, 2008. They met up with a group of about 20 others at the Flora home in Bear Brand. In what must be a new ritual for high school dances, all the parents also met there to take pictures of the kids with their dates and of the group. Allen’s best friend Jared Reese was there too having been asked by McKenzie Andelin.
