While Jane was off to India, Adam and I took a trip too...
We rolled our bikes to the Air Canada counter at LAX and checked them aboard for Paris, France!

We wheeled our bikes out to the curb at Charles de Gaulle, hitched on our panniers, and rode from the airport straight into...

The City of Lights!

After a couple days, we took off into the countryside.

The spires of Chartres Cathedral.

We tried to escape the rain though it got us almost every day.

Chambord in the Loire Valley.

We rarely got lost on the lovely and well marked French roads.

Chenenceaux.

Two Horses: Adam has a favorite new car.

And a lovely glove tan circle.

He chugged Nutella - and didn't feel so good afterward.

The American military cemetary at Omaha Beach in Normandy moved us.

As did the French countryside.

Le Mont St. Michel.

We ended the trip back in Paris, seeing some sights we didn't get to see the first few days.

And on our last day, we got to see the last stage of the Tour and cheer on Lance, Alberto, Schleck, Pelizotti, Cavendish and all the others.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip that I would like to do every summer.
