Why This Blog?
Cathy and I have 5 kids. Between the seven of us, we are collectively exposed to all kinds of products, services and a wide variety of entertainment, media and activities. This blog contains our musings on things that we like, things we don't like and things we may be ambivalent about. Hopefully our trial and error will help make your life a bit easier.

Why Beavers?
Allen's family growing up (aka the busy beavers) had a song that they sang on special occassions:
We are beavers one!
We are beavers all!
We all get together
And give our beaver call!
(Then we all give the beaver call which is hard to describe but involves tapping the two front teeth on the bottom lip while making a beaver face.)
Since those busy beaver days, the beaver has become somewhat of a family mascot.

We just got your Christmas card - so darling!! Love the blog; can't believe everyone's so grown up already. Allen IV is quite the artist (awesome creative exercise). The girls are gorgeous and so talented, and Adam is quite the athlete! Really good seeing you all again.
